Recent Realizations

It's been a while since I last posted in my blog. I haven't been inspired these past few years... I was just busy with school and the like.


Now, I am writing since I have made a few realizations about life. Through the years, I've met a lot of people. I've come to conclusion that not all the people who comes into your life actually stays. I could say that most of them, if not all, left. It's hard to live life by how you actually wanted it to be. It's hard to live life having expectations and being disappointed at the end of the day.


Being a psychology major student, I believe that I was able to learn to become more sensitive of my surroundings. Being able to observe more than usual. I was able to practice how to think more before actually concluding something.


These past few days, I've realized that you don't need to be a psychology major student to be able to understand what's going on in other people's mind. You don't need to be able to have certain knowledge in order for you to distinguish certain actions implied. I believe that a person needs to be sensitive enough to be able to acknowledge those actions.


I don't know why, but I kind of have the eye of knowing that something is wrong. I kind of have the "gut" feeling. I don't know if it's natural, but I mostly have the correct intuition about certain situations.


Communication is the key to successful relationships. May it be for romantic relationship or friendship. It comes in all forms. Communication will be the road to understand one another. It may be hard but we all have to try. Some people may take your actions differently.


We all have different perspectives for different circumstances. Learning how to adjust will eventually lead everything to its right place. The world doesn't revolve around one place, which is the reason why we need to catch up and learn how to adjust to the world.


Recently, we've been in an educational field trip in which we went to different companies and the like for exposure. Through it, we were able to meet different people of different professions and status in life. We even met people with different states of mind. There I was able to envision how life is indeed difficult. Life is just short. The real world, which is outside the four corners of the classroom is entirely different from what we were exposed to.


Being in the field of psychology requires us to be able to understand the actions of people instead of judging them by one glance. It also requires us to be more patient than other people. which is difficult for me, to be honest since I know within me, that I, myself, has a problem of my own. But now, we are supposed to reconsider our thoughts and be able to think with an open mind in dealing with people.


People, in general, have a lot of judgments regardless of your age, status and the like. We tend to have certain expectations we want from other people that often they are disregarded and we end up getting frustrated and upset about it.


In life, we need to choose our own battles. Something that we are willing to fight for without any hesitations. We need to be flexible in order for us to live in this cruel world of ours. We must be able to learn how to adjust ourselves in the proximity of our globe. Learning is a process we must continue to involve ourselves into and experience will be our greatest teacher amongst all the lessons learned.
